SE655X Digital and SE656X Digital - Digital Conductivity Sensors with Ex Certification

The chemical, pulp and paper, and industrial wastewater monitoring industries place exacting demands on the sensors they use in their production processes. These sensors need to be failsafe and resistant to contamination, and they must be able to withstand high pressures and temperatures. At the same time, users are increasingly demanding digital data transmission to ensure continuous product quality monitoring. The SE655X digital and SE656X digital toroidal conductivity sensors from Knick fulfill this brief perfectly. The Memosens protocol enables integrated sensor diagnostics and storage of the sensor characteristics; it also records wear data to facilitate predictive maintenance. The SE655X digital is made of the process-wetted material PEEK, while the SE656X digital uses PFA, providing extremely high resistance to aggressive materials. With a range of 0 to 2,000 mS/cm and an available process temperature range of -20 °C to110 °C, the sensors can be used in a wide range of scenarios. They are ATEX and IECEx certified for use in hazardous locations.
A Quick and Easy Switch from Analog to Digital Measurement
The two sensors complete the Knick SE655 and SE656 product lines, and the company now offers full sensor solutions from a single source. Customers who do not wish to change their sensor types can switch over from analog to digital measurement technology with the digital versions of the SE655X and SE656X. The sensors work with Knick transmitters such as Protos, Stratos, and MemoRail, and, with their ability to store sensor characteristics, are easy to handle and install. After connecting to a transmitter, the “plug & measure” sensors are ready for use.
