Knick sponsors award for young scientists
For the eighth time, an award committee will present the « Process Analytic Award for Young Scientists » for an outstanding scientific paper during the EuroPACT conference. This year, Knick Elektronische Messgeräte GmbH & Co. KG is the sponsor of the award, which is endowed with € 3,000. Within the process industry, process analytical technology (PAT) represents an important field. PAT considers the use of advanced analytical tools and technologies to monitor and control manufacturing processes in real time, enabling better product quality, increased process efficiency and reduced costs.
Supporting young scientific talents
Knick’s commitment reaffirms the close relationship between manufacturers, users and academia in process analytics. Tobias Schenk is vice president of business development at Knick and a member of the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) working group. He will present the award during EuroPACT together with Dr. Tobias Eifert, chairman of AK PAT. For Schenk, science and everyday entrepreneurial life clearly belong together. « At Knick, solutions for process analytics have been created at the highest technical level since the company was founded. Our development has been driven by innovation from the very beginning. That’s why supporting young scientific talent is a real concern for us. »
