From hydrogen production and test benches to energy storage systems, reliable voltage monitoring is essential in applications with increased safety requirements. At the same time, high electrical isolation must be ensured in environments with high voltages. This is exactly where the P45000 from Knick comes in – without compromising on functional safety and precision.
This high voltage transducer certified according to SIL 2 (redundant SIL 3), combines reinforced isolation up to 4800 V DC according to UL374A with precise measurements of nominal voltages up to 3000 V DC. This allows, for example, voltages at electrolyzer stacks and strings to be measured in a functionally safe manner. From these measurements, it is then also possible to determine the total voltage of the entire electrolyzer for controlling the current converter.
In addition, this transducer series offers maximum flexibility: The analog signal output (4…20 mA) ensures broad compatibility with almost all commercially available controllers for the safety-related shutdown of machines and systems. In addition, the P45000 can be mounted horizontally, vertically or stacked for redundant measurement, or alternatively on a 35 mm DIN rail.
With the introduction of the P45000 , Knick offers a future-proof solution for the growing demands of a modern energy infrastructure: reliable, flexible, safe.
