pH measurement in highly viscous or fibrous process media
When using conventional retractable fittings to measure pH values in applications such as in wastewater treatment, flue gas desulfurization plants, chlorine production and dye synthesis, usually the O-rings for process sealing cannot withstand the extreme chemical and mechanical loads involved over a longer period.
But O-ring blockages can be avoided with the Ceramat retractable fitting thanks to its ceramic process gate. The ceramic process gate minces fibers escaping from the process medium during the lock rotation and guarantees constantly high tightness.
Take a look at the functional principle in this video:

The maintenance effort is reduced by the no-wear process sealing, as well as the risk that technical personnel will come into contact with toxic process media during maintenance. The modular construction of the retractable fittings allow the drive to be disassembled for sensor adjustment, cleaning or replacement during the ongoing process.
Accurate measured values and an improved hygiene are also due to the defined cavity rinsing between ceramic and housing as well as between calibration chamber and drive. For effective sensor cleaning, Ceramat uses cyclone rinsing.
